How to visit without the guesswork

Aloguinsan is simple once you know the road, the tide, and the local rhythm.

From Cebu City, ride south through Carcar to Aloguinsan poblacion (about 2–3 hours). Habal-habal continues to Bojo and Kantabogon.

Dry season (December–May) is best for the cove. For the river, check the tide — high water makes the cruise smoother.

Sun protection, cash, water shoes, and a dry bag. Facilities are simple. Do not expect a resort boardwalk.

River walk-ins are sometimes available; lunch packages should be reserved. Cove entrance is collected locally. Confirm current rates on the day.

Farm lunches, grilled catch, and town eateries. If you want a set meal on the river package, book it the day before.

Follow guides, stay off fragile mangrove roots, skip single-use plastic, and keep the cove quiet. This destination works because locals protect it.
